A Pet Peeve...
I know I am not going to be the only one here....Okay, so you have to run to the dreaded Wally World. It's going to be packed you know, except for our new one, you park your car way far away because there is no where else, so now I am aggravated. I start walking up to the entrance and there are people selling stuff right where you have to walk. I literally dread this and will grab my cellphone an pretend to talk. I hate feeling like they think I am shrugging them off (which I am) but I really do put money in on Christmas to the people who ring that CONSTANT bell. Just let me get in the store. You know as soon as you walk past them and don't give a donation or buy something they are talking about how rude you are. I just think it should not be allowed. Go sell door to door like they should be or at least go to the middle of Wally World and not in my direct line of entering. I know most of the times it is for a good cause, like Girl Scouts, but still. I just want to be left alone. Hello, I need money too! Why don't they take up a collection for us? Hey- I am the one on a budget here!
My Two Addictions!
I am so addicted to Kathy Griffin's Bravo show, My Life on the D-List. I think it is so great to be able to laugh at yourself and not take yourself too seriously. I love to laugh and can have a good time anywhere. She is so witty, sarcastic, fast, and random which makes her show perfect. The only negative thing about her is her mouth. I am not a big fan of "Potty Mouths" and boy is her's large. I guess it is all in the act.
My second new addiction is called Modern Family. It is a new TV show on ABC and I love it. I don't usually laugh at many tv shows, but his one cracks me up. Even the husband said we should start watching it every week. I love seeing Ted Bundy as an old step dad. This show just has the best scripts and actors. I have to admit that I am a reality junkie. You can't believe that?? I know it's hard but I love it!!

Rain boots and Bowling
I have been dying fro a pair of hot pink rain boots that I saw a few days ago. Of course, being on this new budget the husband said no. But low and behold...look what he surprised me with...

He is the best husband ever!! So of course I had to wear them that day. It looked like is was going to rain to it was perfect. Except the sun ended up coming out and I looked like a total re-re.
We later went out with friends to one of my favorite restaurants...Copper River and then went bowling. I knew I wasn't a great bowler but I didn't know I was that bad. It was so bad I gave up after 2 rounds. Sad day!! Oh well...there are just somethings you know you aren't good at but if that is the only thing I am not good at, I'll be okay. Ha!!
Will You Go on A Date With Me?
Yesterday the husband called me after school and it went something like this:
The Husband: I have you ask you a question.
The Wife: What?
The Husband: I have to walk outside to ask you.
The Wife: Why?
The Husband: I wanted to know if you would go on a date with me tonight?
The Wife: Why did you have to walk outside to ask me that?
The Husband: I didn't want to ask you in front of the guys.
The Wife: Are you embarrassed to ask me on a date?
The Husband: No, I just didn't want to sound cheesy.
The Wife: Of course I will. You plan it I will go.
Well, here in the south we love BBQ, not Maurice's fast food style but real BBQ. A new BBQ place opened right by the house and we were dieing to try it. There was a long wait but much worth the wait!! We thought about going to a movie but we have never finished a movie before going to sleep. Yes, I know...we are young and need to stay up late but that's not like us. We like to e home together with the Furbaby. After our date we headed to Wally World to get a few things for breakfast. While in there the rain of the century came and of course it was right when we were walking out. We were soaked but laughed it off. This might seem like a simple night but that is what we enjoy!! Love me some husband!

I am not a totally sappy person except for when it comes to myself. Selfish much? I cry easily if I am upset about something or someone hurts my feelings or I don't feel good. I am what we would call hypersensitive. I take it all to heart. So on the way home from school I always check out the blogs in the car on my Crackberry. I know, how dangerous. I really should stop but don't you think it so addictive? Anyways. I was reading all the sweet comments I received about me getting two awards and it made me feel like I had such good friends. I swear I am not crazy or stalkerish but I really feel as though I know more about some of you whom I have never met than my real friends, except for the bestie. It really meant a lot to see people write such nice things and I wanted to thank you. People always ask why I blog. When I started it was because I was bored and I always have to be doing something. But now, it has truly become an important thing in my life. Am I getting sappy now? Anyways, before y'all start crying on me, thanks to all the great friends I have met in Blogland!!

10 Things You May Not Know...
1. I am a total neat freak. I have gotten better but hate to have any clutter or "junk" in the house. If it is left on the counter it is thrown away!
2. The husband and I bought a house together 10 months after we met!! Glad it worked out!
3. I still sleep with a stuffed animal, Popple. It is a flop-a-lot but I am not sure they still make them. And yes...Popple accompanied me on my honeymoon.
4. I would rather wear a dress or skirt everyday of my life. I like jeans occasionally but I just love feeling girly!
5. I have a horrible shopping addiction. When I get bored I fill the void by shopping. I have sense been on a budget and not allowed to buy anything!
6. I do not like wearing the same outfit twice. I did really well with it last year to school but the husband told me I might have to wear an outfit more than once. Bummer!
7. I LOVE Kathy Griffin. I think she is hysterical. I could do with out all that cussing but she is so witty and fast at her comebacks. It would take me days to do th at!
8. I do not like curse words. Maybe I am prude or too girly but I feel as though I sound ridiculous if I do. I am not hard core so I would never pretend to be.
9. I bite my nails like there is tomorrow. I have tried everything. I quit for the wedding but after that, it was all downhill.
10. I could have anything and everything monogrammed. If I ever have amnesia at least I know my initials!!

My father the hero...
Happy Birthday Dad!! I am so proud to call you my father and am so happy I have you in my life. My brother and I drove to his mountain house last night to celebrate. Made for a long night but well worth it. My uncle and friend, the husband, and the husband's aunt met us at a place called Binions, a wonderful steak house. We had great food and lots of fun! I could not ask for a better father. Happy Birthday again!! Love ya!

One of my best friends is getting married in 11 days. I finally got around to looking at her photos and they are amazing!! Bob Schnell Photography did an amazing job!! I am so excited for the wedding and can't believe how soon it is.

27 Dresses...
The dress I want for the rehearsal dinner except I would want black shoes!
Today I went bridesmaid dress shopping with the bride. We tried on dress, after dress, after dress. We know our favorite but what is yours? Keep in mind that the dress will be black!! I love black dresses but I have been in and will be in 4 weddings. One last year and it was black. One in October and it is black. One in March and it is black. And one in October of 2010 and it is black. Plus, mine was black. Did any of them get the same dress so I could wear it again? Of course not. I guess if I ever need a black dress I am in luck! My friends and I might need to spruce it up a bit. But, who doesn't love black??
Crazy on the Today Show...
On the Today show this morning they had two stories that shocked me. I tried to find both stories on their website but they might not be posted yet.
1. A student at John Hopkins University saw an intruder breaking into his home and yelled for his roommates. He picked up a sword and swung at the robber cutting his hand off and the robber ended up bleeding to death. Now they are thinking about pressing charges against the student. This just amazes me that for protecting yourself and your home they would even think about prosecuting someone. I understand the fact that you can not defend yourself if the intruders back is to you but if someone was breaking into my house, be sure that I would try and hurt them. 2. A man and woman were trying to have a child and ended up trying IVF. They ended up finding out that they had the wrong eggs placed in her, so the child she is carrying is not her own. How devastating to know that you have been trying to get pregnant and now you are carrying someone else's child. I never saw the end of this story so as soon as I can find it I will post more info about it.
I love watching the news, not as much as the husband but sometimes I just get so frustrated. It always seems as though good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. Maybe I should start being bad? What do you think?
Chicken and Biscuits
Over at Kelly's Korner she had a recipe swap. I love finding new recipes, especially ones that involve chicken. The husband and I could eat chicken every night. I found this recipe at Lean Green Momma called Chicken and Biscuits.
Chicken and Biscuits
1 cooked chicken, deboned and shredded (can be boiled and chopped breasts, instead)
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 can chicken broth
1 c. cooked rice (1 c. before cooking)
1 8 oz. package of shredded cheddar
biscuits
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except biscuits. Pour into a 13x9 baking dish and bake at 375 until it starts to bubble. While it is cooking, prepare biscuits, but do not cook them. Place on top of chicken mixture when it starts to bubble and cook until biscuits are browned.I hope you enjoy it as much as we did! Have a great week!
Busy Busy Weekend!
This weekend was jammed packed. We had company stay, my FIL and his two dogs. Then I went and cheered my mom and brother in the 11th Annual Swim the Dam for Drew. They had to swim two miles-for fun! Crazy I know!! That is why I was the cheerleader...that will not be my new hobby. Then I went with a friend to cheer her husband on in the USMC Mud Run. We finished up the weekend watching the Gamecocks play!! Yay...we won! I am super tired and ready to relax the remainder of this weekend! I hope y'all had a great weekend too!
