Bridal Shower

I went to a bridal shower for the bestie today! I can't believe how fast this wedding is approaching! 47 days...Yay!!

Recently our custodian at school approached me and congratulated me on my pregnancy. I thanked him kindly. The conversation should have stopped there... but instead he proceeded to say... I thought you were because you were starting to gain weight last year.... yeah.... I wasn't PREGNANT LAST YEAR!!

Thank you Mr. Walker! I feel so much better about myself!

Keds... My heart melts!

When I was younger I would only wear keds! My grandma once bought me a pair of knock-off keds, which didn't cut it, so I drew a blue label on the back! Ha!! Only the best!! Anywhoo... when this baby comes... I can't wait to put it's feet in these...

I secretly, not anymore since I am spreading my business, bought these today...

for $4.00 at Once Upon A Child.... Yes, I know they are a size 5 and it can't wear them till about a year old but let me be!! And yes, these are for a boy... I swear that's what I am having. Tags left on, receipt kept!!

What to do...what to do!?

I own many of these!

While getting my outfit together for the next day I came across a dilemma... At what height do you wear your skirts when you are pregnant? I have a belly now... exhibit A:

So, when I put my skirt on and pulled it above my belly I looked like this...

But when I pulled my skirt below my belly, I looked like this...

And in the middle just didn't work. So...am I not able to wear skirts? What did you do? HELP!

12 Weeks!

** Mind you...this is in the evening!!**

How far along? 12 Weeks

Baby's size? Our baby is the size of a plum.

Weight Gain? 3.5 pounds...I take that back! Went to the doc today... only 1 pound gained!

Maternity clothes? None yet. I have only been wearing dresses...

Stretch marks? None, forever I hope!

Sleep? Sleep is good. Couple of bathroom breaks a night but I can't complain!

Foods I am loving? Red meat and pasta!

Foods I am hating? Noting.

Best moment this week? Having a second ultrasound in two weeks! Nice to know people at the doctor's office!

Movement? No movement yet, that I can feel.

Symptoms? I feel like my old self is back. I hear that happens around the second trimester!

Gender? I am still going strong that it's a boy!

What I'm looking forward to? Week 13!! The start of the 2nd trimester!!

Weekly Wisdom: Yes, you can put your arms above your head!

Milestones: This is the last week of our 1st trimester!

Emotions: Pretty emotional.

Probably when I got my scarf stuck in a laminator at school! Ha ha ha!

I used to have this pierced but I saw a show once where a girl jumped off of the top bunk bed and her piercing got stuck and ripped out. I was done after that. Now I just have a hole!

4. Are you a social butterfly or a homebody?
I like to think that I am social when I go out but lately I tend to be a homebody!

5. Are you done having babies or do you want more?
Since I am

with out first, I hope we will have more!

6. Are you loyal to your hairstylist or do you try every salon in town?
I have been using the same hairstylist since I was about 10.

Recently though, I went back to my natural hair color and am growing it out so I haven't been back in awhile.

7. How many times have you moved in your life?
1. Many, many times. All in the same city though.

8. If you could plan your vacation just you and your love, where would it be?

I have always wanted to go to Fiji!!

Baby Cobia Update!

Before with all the office furniture moved...

After my wonderful Dad came and put up bead board and chair molding. It still has to be painted... Thank you so much Dad!

Then best of all... our first framed photo of Baby Cobia! That meant so much to me that my Dad framed it!! Love it!!

What Are You Doing?

I came home to find this...

All my clothes were out of the guest closet and on the bed... What in the world was the husband doing? Come to find out he was fixing the closet to have sturdier hooks.

Then somehow my clothes were replaced by his... Guess I am moving mine to the master bedroom closet. It really makes no difference to me though.

I Finally Broke Down...

and bought these shoes...

It is the first time that I have bought shoes that were comfortable rather than stylish! OMG!! Let me tell you... I have never had shoes as comfy as these! I might not look cute, but I feel good!

While I was satisfying my feet, I went ahead and got me one of these too...
