A Mommy's Persepective...

Now being a mother, I have a different perspective on life and you can't quite understand it until you have your own child. Commercials, billboards, sad stories, songs, etc... all take on a different meaning.
The other night I was feeding G and started watching...
I had seen it many times but this time around I cried so much more... I guess you put your self in their shoes, which makes it so much worse.

Then, the other night we had a horrible storm where we lost electricity and power. The power came on 8 hours later but the cable stayed out for awhile. I ended up going to rent some movies. I rented...

(Haven't finished it but it's starting out very slow...)
(Haven't watched this one yet...)
(This was awesome! I cried so hard and things were much funnier now that I have a child...)

It's crazy that a little over a month ago I was a completely different person. I am so happy the way our life has turned out. We are truly blessed and I am so thankful!

  2. You are so right about perspective! Everything takes on a whole new meaning when you have a baby. I liked Morning Glory and Life As We Know It was the best! I found it a little hard to watch because it hits so close to home and being a parent, the story just breaks your heart. Good movie choices! :)

  6. I agree with you 100%! Today I cried twice while watching TV! I think one was a commercial!!! And the other day I got tears from seeing a 9 month old do something cute!!!

  8. Since becoming a mommy I cry more than I ever have. Disney commercials, I bawl my eyes out! My son will be six in June, Ha! I guess the emotions never go away! :)

  9. I had to turn off Life As We Know It b/c it was too soon after Thatcher was born!

Ok, random, but did you lose any breastmilk during the electricity loss? This is my worst nightmare. I have already told the husband that if we have to evacuate for a hurricane this year, the breastmilk is coming with.
