Our First Black Eye!

Daycare called this week letting us know that Grayson had fallen (been pushed) by a little boy at the toy box and she fell on the corner, hitting her face. Bless her heart! When I picked her up it was definitetly not as bad as they made it seem. Thank gosh! She has a little war wound but it's already getting much better!

Courageous...

We recently watched this movie...
It was amazing, inspiring, emotional, and uplifting! It's about a group of fathers that are challeneged to be the fathers God intended them to be.

In the movie they make a resolution. I absolutley loved this so I found it online...

{THE RESOLUTION}
I do solemnly resolve before God to take full responsibility for myself, my wife, and my children.

I WILL love them, protect them, serve them, and teach them the Word of God as the spiritual leader of my home.

I WILL be faithful to my wife, to love and honor her, and be willing to lay down my life for her as Jesus Christ did for me.

I WILL bless my children and teach them to love God with all of their hearts, all of their minds, and all of their strength.

I WILL train them to honor authority and live responsibly.

I WILL confront evil, pursue justice, and love mercy.

I WILL pray for others and treat them with kindness, respect, and compassion.

I WILL work diligently to provide for the needs of my family.

I WILL forgive those who have wronged me and reconcile with those I have wronged.

I WILL learn from my mistakes, repent of my sins, and walk with integrity as a man answerable to God.

I WILL seek to honor God, be faithful to His church, obey His Word, and do His will.

I WILL courageously work with the strength God provides to fulfill this resolution for the rest of my life and for His glory.

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. – Joshua 24:15

Snowflake Princess...

Grayson you bring us so much joy!!

Finding God...

Before Drake and I had Grayson, we didn't have a great relationship with God. I tried to but never really was committed. Once we had her, things changed. Drake and I both sat down and talked that we wanted our family (daughter) to grow up knowing God and trusting in him. We rejoined my church, went to weekly services and joined a Sunday school. We had Grayson baptized and met with the Reverend. We don't push our views on others and don't expect everyone to understand but in the past year our family has really rejoined God's family. I am so thankful to know that someone else is guiding me. I will never be by myself and I know that if God gives it to me, He will pull me through it. Our marriage is stronger and my heart is lighter. We have made great friends through church and have a stronger sense of who we are. I am greatful for this journey we are on and hope others can do the same.

Sorry to be so "deep" but I just felt the need to open up to what's really been on my mind lately.

Yum, Yum, Eat it Up!

Yes, I am a clean freak but my baby likes to eat!

The First!

Ths is the first outfit I ever bought fro Grayson. She was still in my belly but I knew I just had to have it! It's from Lolly Wolly Doodle and I just adore it! Isn't she just the MOST fabulous thing??

I might have told Drake I was so thankful for God for at least giving me one girl! I love dressing her up!

Look What Arrived...

Our first tooth, I swear! It only took us 10 months! That's okay, because I heard the longer it takes to come in, the healthier they are. I am just going to believe that!
Do you see it??
Here's another shot...

Our First Zoo Trip!

Grayson had so much fun on her first zoo trip. As you can see, she HAD to bring her block! I can't wait until she can do more there!

What the heck is that?

Smocked On A Budget!

Yes, the hubs and I are on a budget! But how does my child always look fabulous? Well here is how...

You HAVE to shop ahead of time. Grayson is stocked for 12-18 months so now I am working on 24 month and 2T. I only buy something if it's at a great deal. And I mean $23 and below. So where do I shop...

One Sick Baby...

Bless her heart, Grayson can not catch a break! Neither can this Momma!

At the beginning of the week she got pink eye in her left eye and then it spread to her right.

Saturday she woke with a fever. After meds and snuggling all day and through the night, just thinking it was teeth related, she woke up the next morning with a temperatire of 104.5 (rectaly of course). So to the doc we went.

What do you know, an ear infection. Boo! So when we got home, she took a bath, ate, got her medicine and then projectile vomited, I mean, 'Exorcist-like" throw-up. Whew... so we get cleaned up and take a nap. What do you know appears when she gets up, pink eye again. Are you kiddding me?

So my weekend (of course while Drake is at work) is snuggling Grayson which I don't mind unless I need to go to the bathroom and she refuses to be put down, cleaning her eye, putting drops in her eyes, cleaning our hands, giving Tylenol, and Amoxicilan.
Look at this sweet baby laying on her Momm's lap...
(Sorry for the bad quality, took it on my phone)

Chicken Roll Ups

I tried a new recipe off Pinterest and it was very good.
1 pkg cream cheese (8oz)
1 pkg crescent rolls (6 ct)
    2 shredded cooked chicken breasts
    1.5 C grated chedder cheese
    1 C grated Monterey Jack
    1/4 t salt
    1/4 t pepper
    1/4 stick melted butter
Combine chicken, cheeses, salt and pepper. Spoon onto crescents. Roll them up making sure they are sealed around the chicken mixture. Brush tops with butter. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
