Nap Mat, Never Again...
I deicde to make a nap mat for Grayson after she has begun to break out in hives at daycare. The only thing different is that she now sleeps on a cot so, a perfect excuse to make her a nap mat. After seeing Love From Texas do one, I googled her one to buy and they were way too expensive $70 to $100. So, I made it myself. I found this tutorial and started buying the materials (I should have realized here that I should have just bought one). All together it cost about $45 and it took me way too long (like 5+ hours). But it's finished...
{Excuse the uneven "G", after all the work, I said, "Screw it", it's on the bottom anywho...}
Easy open with these velcro straps and velcro on the sided for easy washing...
Unrolled, pillow at the top, and blanket folded for rolling up...
Here is the blanket spread out... Wouldn't you love to lay on this?
All ready for school tomorrow...
No One Else Will Ever Know...
No one else will ever know,
the strength of my love for you,
afterall, you are the only one,
who knows what my heart,
sounds like from the inside.
What Will You Give Up?

Yesterday began Lent, giving up something you love for 40 days. I was trying to think of something I LOVE, but couldn't think of what I could really give up. So, my friend Susan suggested an "Add-in". Instead og giving up something for 40 days, I will be adding in something for 40 days.
So, Drake and I have decided we want to read the Bible more and thought this was the perfect opportunity to start. Even though it is only 40 days, we have decided to try and read the Bible in a year. Wish me luck. The plan we will be following is here.
{I would love for you to do it with us.}
Happy 3 Year Anniversary to Us!!

Valentine's Teacher Gift
I try to always do something for Grayson's teachers, all 5 of them, for a holiday.
For Valentine's Day I wanted something simple so I made this...
bought some of these...
and then stapled it together...
Girl's Night...
We had a great girl's night at Kelly's this weekend. It was, bring your baby night, but the 3 others with babies didn't show! Ha!! We had a great time talking and laughing...
My Pinterest Project...
Get an old frame or one that your assistant gave you...
Print the letters you want to use and tape it together...
Cut it out...
Trace it on the glass (mine was plexiglass)
Paint 2 coats (I used plain ol' temper paint)...
Let it dry and then Modge Podge it to get that glossy look...
Spray paint a frame and then sand it...
I didn't want to put the back on the frame, so I placed this sticky stuff between the frame and the plexiglass to hold it in place...
And voila... This is now in my hallway...
