This Isn't Going to Work

So as we all know I have been working out at the gym. I met up with a friend who told me you can't just do cardio, you need to lift weights as well. I was hesitant because I don't want to look like a meat head but he assured me I wouldn't and it was best for me. Yesterday I went to the gym, warmed up with some cardio and headed downstairs to lift a few weights. First off I probably look like a re-re reading the machines to figure out what they are for. By the time I figured how to use them, I realized the person before me has left 100 pounds and I can't even lift that much to take it off. How am I supposed to lift weights if I can't even get someone's  leftover weights off the machine?  So...I am asking all those who work out and use tons of weights...please take them off because scrawny people like myself and use the machine then.

Why leave that much weight on for the next person to deal with?

  2. I hear you! It is so annoying! It is called manner and gym etiquette. I am thinking they should have a class before you join a gym about the do and do nots of the gym! I think we would all be happier people!

  4. Don't they have weight machines you can use, which you just take the pin out to change it to a different weight? My gym has a women's weight area, so I try to stick those!

  12. Hi there, your friend is right, by lifting weights you burn more calories and lose more weight. You won't bulk up, I promise. Once I started doing intervals with cardio and weights, I lost so much weight and it completely re-shaped my body. I plan on doing this now too since I need to lose some of my pregnancy weight. Good luck at the gym!

  14. This has nothing to even do with this post... but going back to the other day when you were at the dental office and the assistant said something rude about your new hair color... our office manager just said something along that line to a NEW PATIENT!

So people just don't know when to insert their foot in their mouth!
