Yay for the Library!

Our library has semi-annual book sales which I love. They have some great books and are very reasonably priced, around 50 cent.
They have rows and rows of books set up like this. (Not all are children's books though.)
Last year I scored almost 40 books but this year I didn't have as much luck. I got 14 books for $7.00. My children at school love when I bring new books to the class and I love collecting them. If you are a new teacher or student teacher this is a great way to build your classroom library. Why buy new books when the children will be rough with them anyways?

  1. I wish our library did something like that here! I have been collecting children's books the past year or so and have already made a great collection. I love book orders too, they are so cheap in those. I have had good luck at a few garage sales too. And of course Half Price books is always good too.

Your kids are going to love the new books!

  2. The summer before I student taught, my family was in Florida. My dad and I would go to the library to get on the computers and they had a book sale as well. I lugged home probably 50 books from the library and save $$! Too bad I teach junior high!

  5. That is a great idea! The only thing is our local library is AWFUL! I don't think they would ever have good books :( I need to start building a library for my future classroom!

  6. It looks like you got some really great books. My niece used to love the Junie B Jones books. :) One of my all time favorite books is The Giving Tree. It is awesome. Have you heard of it?
