It Only Took One Year...

After my wedding last year my mom had my dress sent to be preserved. Well, my 1 year anniversary is Sunday and I picked my dress up today, Friday. It only took one year. I am not sure what I was expecting it to look like but...you be the judge...
To me it just looks like they stuffed a down comforter in a box. The husband used to work at a dry cleaners, the same one who preserved my dress, and he says this it what it looks like. He about took my finger off when I touched it because there is some acid on it to keep it from turning yellow. I love that I can go back and look at it, but where I am I going to put this huge thing? I do have to give myself credit...even though it looks like a pillow in a box, I think it is still gorgeous! Gosh I have good taste! Ha!

  3. Mine got stuffed/boxed/preserved, but the box is sealed shut. At some point (when I have a magnificently large closet) I'm going to have mine mounted and framed.

    Have a good weekend!

    xoxo!

  6. I had this done too... mine is in a smaller box. It is fun to look at! Mine came with special gloves that I can touch it with if I want to touch it.
