The Millpond in Boykin

Friday night we went out early for our one year anniversary dinner. "The father" suggested we eat at this hole in the wall restaurant called The Millpond at Boykin, on his tab of course! Thank you! I pulled up to this place and was a little stunned:
I started to think, okay, I know my dad likes rustic things but he definitely knows I am not very rustic. It looks like an old timey general store or something. Anywhoo...when we walked inside the decor was just as you are probably imagining, old hardwood floors, old metal signs, you get it... It was very cute. Our table wasn't quite ready because we had reserved the "scenic table" over looking the pond. When it was ready, we went to our table, um yeah, it's pitch black out, a great view overlooking the pond! Ha! We ordered this wonderful shrimp cocktail...delish!
I have never seen shrimp that big!! When our order came out my side of garlic mashed potatoes were huge!
Yes, there are leftovers in the fridge. The husband ordered some kinda fish...
but my "Queen" filet....oh my gosh! It was like an 8oz piece of heaven. It was "Slap Your Momma Good!"
The husband's words on the filet: "It was almost as tender as eating the mashed potatoes." NO JOKE! I have never tasted anything better in my life! Thanks you so much Dad for the recommendation and your credit card too! Ha!
