My wedding ring! No the husband and I are not splitting up...yet! Ha! I am so just kidding. We always joke around that the next time we get married we are marrying for money! No...I had some loose stones so my rings had to be sent off to be fixed...sigh... The woman at the jeweler said her husband would never let her be with out her rings?!? The husband never wears his. When he first became a cop, one of the people he arrested looked at his wedding ring and started asking about his wife and what she looked like and all and it made him uncomfortable. He said he doesn't want them to get any ideas...you know like being mad at him and coming to get me-I know far fetched but you never know! Crazies out there! Anywhoo... Do you or your hubs ever forget to wear your rings?
I'm not married so I cannot answer your question. However, that's a scary story about the husband's arrest. I never would have thought about that. Scary!
ReplyDeleteWe both wear our rings every day but when I take mine in to get cleaned, I wear a fake back-up set that has actually fooled some people into thinking it's real.

ReplyDeleteOh gosh, weird!!!! Z wears his rings more often than I do, hahaha! And yes, he has two. One for work (he got a Tungsten one that won't ever scratch while he is handling weapons or working out at the gym) and one with diamonds...his "dress ring". Ha!
ReplyDeleteI wear mine daily, but take mine off to workout, sleep, shower, etc.
I don't forget to wear mine (I only take them off when I put on lotion), but I do have to give them up once a year to have them re-dipped in rhodium. My rings are white gold, so to keep them from turning yellow, I surrender them to the jeweler once a year. It's a sad 2 weeks!

Same as above, I only take mine off to put on lotion or to clean them. The day after we got married, Ryan lost his while walking the dogs. (It wasnt sized correctly) He miraculously found it under a pile of leaves later in the day!
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling that if I ever get married, I will very seldom take mine off. My mom wears her ring religiously, but has to take it off a lot at work because she is an OB nurse. I do not think a ring is something that people would enjoy having in them along with everything else. My dad does not wear his very often unless we are all going somewhere together. He is also in the medical field so at his job it makes it difficult for him to wear it.
ReplyDeleteWith our jobs, we don't wear our rings to work. But funny thing is, T wears his more than me! He frequently has to say "Where is your ring?" when we are not working... I didn't think he would ever where his so we got him the cheapest one - feeling some guilt about that!!
ReplyDeleteI never take my rings off!! Which probabaly isn't good for them! My hubby hardly wears his because he can't wear it to work!
ReplyDeleteI take mine off to sleep. Brian on the other hand takes his off when he gets to work and sometimes remembers to put it back on. He claims it gets caught in the dough making pizzas! He once took it off and left it in one of the Atlanta stores. They did not find it for 2 weeks.
