Was He Speaking to Me?

I think our Pastor was speaking directly to me this Sunday!

We haven't gone to church much this summer, with being our of town and such, but we felt the need to go back this Sunday and join a new Sunday School class that was geared closer to our own age. (We really enjoyed it)!

Anywhoo, the message for Sunday's sermon was:
Dreaming Dreams and Seeing God's Vision: "Are You Looking?"

{I have never felt so connected to a sermon before and I want to share a few things with you}

What fills your vision?

I am bad about wanting more. A bigger, better house, anouther child, more money, a new car, and I am always wanting MORE. I am not alone and I am sure you have all felt this way.

Some questions were asked that really stuck out to me...
*What do you spend your time looking at?
*What fills your vision?
*If your primary view is on posessions are you missing the big picture?

We are too focused on seeing the things we don't have, that we forget the things we do have.

1. A great family
2. Wonderful husband
3. Beautiful daughter
4. A great job
5. A roof over my head
6. Food in the pantry
7. A great car

From this day forward, I encourage you (especially me) to start seeing the things we DO have in life.

{I want to try to see the small wonders in life that make if beautiful!}

The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light; but if your eye is unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness.
Matthew 6:22-23

  1. I think we are all guilty of wanting more! Thanks so much for sharing this. It's just what I needed to "hear" today!
