Just One of Those Days...

So this post was going to be about how well the budget is going but I think I should back it up and tell you what happened recently with the budget! I hadn't told you before because I was half embarrassed, half... well just embarrassed. I am almost always in a good mood so every blue moon I wake up on the wrong side of the bed...especially when your "friend" visits! Well he was coming and I was moody and it was payday and did I get to spend any of it...no! Of course not! I only work 40 hours a week! So all day I was grumpy and after school I just had to go shopping and cure this mood. If you read my blog you will remember that I found these precious shoes and the husband returned them. Well, low and behold guess what I ran into?? The shoes and of course it was the last one in my size...Fate, I think not! Ha! I could never go behind the husband's back and buy them with out asking and I called him and told him what happened and he said, "NO!" Now my day was really awesome! The rest of the day I was in an even better mood! Sometimes a girl just needs to shed some tears and that is how it was ending. Dinner, silent tears just came down.  I was grumpy, irritated, and just needed a boost. Well the husband and I finally compromised and I now have a budget. He told me we could go that night and get my shoes... You know what I am about to say...don't you...they were gone! Of course they were gone. If I hadn't pitched a fit they would have still been there...sigh... Well I ended up getting some great dark jeans from this random company Boom Boom Jeans none the less... Best fitting jeans I have ever worn.

So I guess the day turned for the best! So I have written a lot and told too much and never even told the real reason for writing this blog...only what led up to it... So on behalf of not keeping you here for hours...I will continue this tomorrow...Hope you finish reading tomorrow and realize that I am not this horrible money hog I have just portrayed...seriously!

Maybe I should learn a lesson from you! :)

  3. MDH is a financial analyst, needless to say he budgets EVERYTHING....my only saving grace is that he loves to shop. Budgets are a necessary evil, unfortunately.

  4. You're so funny and I love your blog! Whenever I leave something behind that is the last one in my size, it is never there when I go back. So sad! Whenever it is that time of the month, shopping always puts me in a better mood.

I'm glad you got some jeans that you like! I love the cut on them.

  5. I hate it when I go back to get something and they don't have it in my size anymore. Blah! I am looking forward to hearing the rest of this post. I'm trying to stick to a budget myself.

  6. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Oh. My. Word. I love this post! We're always attempting to budget too, and it's so hard not to break it! I have to give kudos to your husband though for telling you no on the shoes in the beginning...my husband never says "no" and I honestly wish he would. He's not very supportive in the budget!
