The other day it was pouring down raining and the husband went and got the car for me. While I was waiting an older lady was waiting beside me. I asked her if her husband was getting her car for her as well. She said no and that she was waiting for the rain to let up before she walked to the car. I opened my big mouth and volunteered my husband to go get her car. I told her my name and told her he was a sheriff deputy and that I would wait with her. To my surprise she handed the keys right over to the husband. He went and got her car for her and drove it to the front of the grocery store. He was so kind, he even loaded her car for her so she wouldn't have to get wet. She was very appreciative. (Thank gosh we are not bad people.) I am so glad that my husband is a gentlemen. It's nice to know that chivalry is not dead!

ReplyDeleteI volunteered my husband to help an older gentleman with a walker load his car with heavy bags of salt into the back of his truck. Apparently there was a worker who was supposed to show up but never did. Selfless acts won't go unnoticed!
