To Shoot Or To Spray!

That is the BIG question... So last week our school was given the H1N1 shots if we wanted it! Well the husband told me that I wanted it! Ha! All my children who received one were so nervous. They told me how scared they were to get the shot and me being the mature role model here, reminded them that they would be fine and that you had to be tough. They all got theirs done and none of them came back crying or with any sign of weakness. I asked them how it went and they said it wasn't that bad! I was so proud of them. Well during lunch it was my turn. There were so many children in there scared, crying, screeching, and they looked terrified! The looks on their faces was enough to scare little ol' me. When the nurse came by I quietly informed her that I would not be getting the shot and could I please have the spray. Yes, I chickened out after my first graders were so brave! I couldn't help it! I didn't want to be the only one in class who cried about it and I would have been. The children later asked me if I had my shot. I spoke a white lie and replied yes, my sweet kids told me they were proud of me too for being brave while getting the shot. If they only knew I wasn't as brave as them. Sad day!

  2. I had the option to take it at my work but I was too scared of the shot and the after effects so I didn't do it. As long as you got it, it doesn't really matter how :) Have a great Monday!

  3. I got the shot on Friday when I went to my doctor's appointment. I was apprehensive about it, but she said I should get it so I did. I did the shot because I hate nose sprays! I love that your kids were so proud of you! That is too cute!
